Buildings

Observing site, where all activities of CCAF take place, stays in Colombara place, near the road connecting Farra d'Isonzo with Villanova, at about 10 kilometers (6 miles) from Gorizia.
It has two observing buildings and one service building.

Contains the 40 cm (15.7") telescope.
The moving dome, 4,5 m diameter, is made in fiberglass with an internal coating of dull panels.
Below the dome there are two service rooms: the dark-room and the computer-room, where we capture and elaborate all pictures from CCDs.

Made from a sliding-roof metal box where is installed the 30 cm (11.8") telescope.
There we keep also the 20 cm (7.8") Dobson portable telescope.

Inside a briefing room with 30 seating places where we take classes with the help of an overhead LCD projector. On a side also the library of CCAF.
